FALALALALALA

The first snow of the season came on the same day as
the "Southern Meadow Carolers" annual event. What a
perfect backdrop to the evening of Christmas caroling at
Southern Meadow.

Knowing you can not hold the Southern Meadow family down with
only three inches of snow...all dressed in warm winter clothes
and adorned themselves on top with festive layers of red & white,
and they took off on foot, on the cold winter night..........just like the story!
With music in one hand and flashlights in the other,
they sang songs of the season to
grandpa's, grandma's, sister's, brother's, father's & mother's

Chilled to the bone.....but filled with delight
all headed for the clubhouse on that cold winter night
They warmed up their bodies with hot chocolate and more
but they warmed the hearts of our homeowners....at their very own
front door.

Merry Christmas to all.....
and to all a good night!

Tis the season to join in on the 37th annual
Candlelight tour to benefit Kent County
Community Schools.

Homeowners from Southern
Meadow adorned themselves in hats, coats, gloves
and scarves as we walked from door to door.
From Windswept to State Street and Rising Sun too,
Santa was there and watching you.
Seven families this year opened up their hearts and their homes
to ensure a better education for our youth in the John S.
Charlton School. It was a perfect winter
evening, the homes were beautifully decorated in the
eclectic styles to match each home. Every home was a new
experience from an upside Christmas
tree, a New Orleans style tree, largest inside nativity scene and
all handcrafted decorations to name just a few. There was caroling, ciders
and cookies too.
Just a perfect down home country Christmas.

Once again, if you didn't make this year, we hope you can join
in, in years to come. Merry Christmas!

Clay Shooting!

The guys of Southern Meadow got out all their gear and
took off in the wind & cold of December to share in
some brotherly man time shooting clays with
owners Andy & Derek Strine.

What a good time was had by all the guys, shooting clays
in the great outdoors of Sussex county, Delaware. The
anticipation is high for the next adventure being planned in
the spring when the famous Greenwood BBQ opens for the
season, then the full and true Sussex County clay shooting
experience will be complete. That is an experience that is
worth the wait for Larry, Walt and Bill.

We invite you to come on down and be part of our Southern
Meadow family. Our sales team can have you enjoying this
lifestyle before the next "Men's day out" event in the spring.
We're not about just selling you a home, we enjoy being part
of the lifestyle experiences being shared here daily at the meadow.
Southern Meadow is truly a unique experience and we still have
room for you!

Thanks!

As 2010 comes to an end and I think back over the great year we had
together at Southern Meadow, I must give thanks...............
Good times, trips, games, laugher, parties, sharing and
caring, health and fitness and welcome aboard! All of these committees
have to have a leader and one who says, "I'll make sure it gets done"
It takes a personal commitment and doesn't come without a lot of planning
and remembering everyone in our family so that all can join in,
in some way and share the good times we have together.
With at being said, I could not do my job with out my committee heads, who
do an outstanding job all year long representing Southern Meadow.

A BIG THANK YOU...

MARY JANE- PARTY & PLANNING

Santa To Seniors

SOUTHERN MEADOW is "SANTA TO SENIORS" this year we have adopted
20 seniors who are dependent-living. I must commend our community, it didn't take long and those wish balls were gone, I have to go back and get one for myself! Everyone is knitting, crocheting and sewing handcrafted items to keep the dependent-living residents warm and cozy this holiday season, as per their request on their wish balls. Hats, scarves, slipper socks, lap blankets and even wheelchair accessory holders, I could go on & on but these are just a few of the items being made by our ladies. The BIG news is; this will be an ongoing project for the year of 2011 and with their talent and kind hearts, I'm sure we can double the number we adopt for Christmas 2011.....let's go ladies we are going to adopt 40 next year! Everything stays local, we have a need right here in Kent & Sussex county Delaware. So many seniors alone, lonely and in need. I was shown one wish ball that asked for tissues for Christmas, we needed tissues after we read that ball! So we invite you to join in for next year, monetary donations would be appreciated to help the ladies with expenses all year long, see Verna for more details.
